Life in Christ at GBC:
Praise:
- For the two short-term missions teams that recently served in Thailand and in Mexico and have returned home safely after experiencing God's grace in and through them.
- For the Lord's blessing to Grace Bible Church for our Student Ministries Team led by Pastor Ben Youngkin, Nathan Sellstrom and Tiffany Shibata and for all those who serve with them.
Petition:
- For the Lord's wisdom and guidance for the Leadership Team as they seek to be more effective in shepherding the folks associated with GBC.
- For wisdom for Pastor Dana and the Missions team as they continue the work of leading us at GBC in seeking to reach those who have yet to know and grow in Christ.
- For guidance for Pastor Ben and those serving with him in preparation of Serve Day - May 15.
- For the Lord to move among us at GBC that we might have over 300 people volunteering to serve our 5-Cities community on Serve Day, May 15. That we will have the right projects and the right people and to serve the needs in a godly and winsome manner that Christ will be honored through our service.
Informational Updates and Additional Items for Prayer:
Ministerio Divino Salvador (MDS):
For the Lord’s continued guidance and wisdom for Pastor Mario, the MDS leadership team and congregation as they seek the Lord and serve Him in Oceano. Pray for our brothers and sisters as they have began a number of small home groups. Pray that the Lord will use each of the groups to build up and encourage the believers and for new neighbors to come to know Christ.
GBC Picture of the Future:
Continue to pray for wisdom for our Leadership Team as they seek to serve the GBC family as well as lead in reaching out to those in our community. Pray for the hearts and minds of our entire GBC Family that we will be intentional in reaching across generational differences and be able to effectively build one another up in the Lord.
Pray for the continuing work that is required to make decisions regarding the way forward for the new Student Ministry and Multi-purpose facility. Pray for understanding and guidance for those evaluating the bid information. The information received requires more funds than we have set aside for the project. The team working on the project needs the Lord's wisdom in planning for options for the way ahead. A recommendation will be made to the congregation once the evaluation has been completed.
