Join the Elders in Praying for our Life in Christ at GBC…
Praise:
- Celebration for Ordination of Pastor Brian into the gospel ministry. Thanks for the encouraging time of praise and thanks. Continue to give thanks to the Lord for His faithful work and the heart He has given Pastor Brian and Teri in serving His church.
- For over 450 children who have been attending Vacation Bible School and for Betsy and all those teaching, leading and serving the children.
- For a very encouraging report regarding the English Camp that was conducted in Albania July 21-28 and for the good relationships built between our Team, Campus Crusade for Christ Staff and the many visiting Muslim Albanian students who not only had opportunity to practice conversational English but to hear the gospel.
- Praise and thanks for the encouraging response to the Ministerio Divino Salvador (MDS) Fund raiser to support preparations for their VBS. Joyful thanks for 35- plus children who have been attending their VBS this week.
- Thanks for the eight applicants to fill the Director of Ministry Operations position. Pray for the Lord's guidance and wisdom in the final selection of the appropriate candidate.
- For the testimony of the students and families that were recently baptized. Thank the Lord for parents who are faithfully raising their children to love and honor God. Pray for their continuing strength and wisdom.
Petition:
- For a good turnout Sunday evening for the Go Fish concert as a culmination of the GBC, "Backstage with the Bible", and the Ministerio Divino Salvador, "Fiesta" VBS programs this week. Pray that many families who may not know the Lord will be encouraged and drawn to Jesus and His love.
- For continued guidance in the planning and preparation work being accomplished toward our new Youth and Family Building. The project was submitted to the City Planning Commission on July 23. The first Architectural Review Commission will be on Sep 13. Pray for a quick and timely approval.
- For the Holy Spirit's continuing work in the hearts and homes of all those who attended "Backstage with the Bible" VBS - that the gospel will continue to bear much fruit in the hearts of children and parents who heard and received it.
- Pray the Lord will richly bless His Word as the children and families of MDS heard the gospel at the "Fiesta" VBS this week. Pray that families will be drawn to Christ and His salvation and that the Word landed on well prepared and receptive hearts.
- For the Lord's provision of a good, capable and appropriate candidate to fill the position of Financial and Benefits Administrator.
- For faithful response in continuing to financially support our church ministries.
