Join the Elders in Praying for our Life in Christ at GBC…
Praise & Thanks:
- Give thanks to the Lord for Pastor Randy and the Choir as they clearly shared the gospel and their lives during our Christmas Concerts. Pray that all of us who heard the clear invitation to "seek him" will respond and come to know the true meaning and purpose of Christmas; whether long time believers being renewed or folks coming to the Lord for the first time.
- Thank the Lord for our Missions Pastor and Team: Pastor Dana, Ron Singleton, Missions Chairman, and the entire Team. Pray for their discernment and wisdom as they continually seek to care for the missionaries on the field and in planning for Short-term Missions opportunities both locally and abroad.
- Thank the Lord for Pastor Joe, Pastor Brian and Pastor Ben as they regularly share the pulpit in bringing us God's Word week by week. Thanks the Lord for their faithfulness and pray that they will continually know the joy of the Lord and be filled with His wisdom and grace as they serve our Lord and His Church day by day.
- Praise the Lord that we have been able to sign the Construction Contract for our new Youth and Family Building. Pray that as work begins it can be accomplished safely, on schedule and within the negotiated contract cost. Pray that we and our Building Project will be a blessing to all those who continue the work to completion.
Petition:
- Continue to pray for the Lord's guidance and direction as individuals are considering acceptance to various GBC Leadership positions beginning in 2012.
- Pray for our High School students and leaders as they spend their first week of Christmas vacation serving and sharing the gospel and their lives in San Francisco.
- Continue to pray that the Lord will be blessed as we seek to obey His direction in providing the needed financial support for our general GBC ministries including our missionaries. Pray that we will be people who give generously and with cheerful hearts in meeting our financial goals and commitments. Also pray for wisdom for the Leadership Team as decisions are made on the use of the available funds for ministry, Staff and Missionaries.
