Nursery

children_teddy bear - children teddy bearYour child is special to us, and it is our desire to be ministers of Christ’s love as we serve you and your family.  Qualified, loving and caring workers staff our nursery.  Our desire is to provide the most caring and secure environment possible as we teach about God’s love.

Check in and check out

Please check-in your child at the nursery counter and obtain a nametag, claim card, and a silent pager.  Please place the pager on your belt or in a pocket because in the unlikely event that we need to contact you regarding your child, your pager will vibrate.  Please respond quickly by coming to the nursery counter if your pager vibrates.  After the service, please pick up your child immediately. Return the pager to the greeter and use your claim card to checkout your child.  Make sure you have all of your child’s belongings.  For the safety of your child, we will not allow an adult to pick up your child without the claim card. Please also make sure you check your child in and out through the check- in window. Please do not walk into the nursery.

Well Baby Nursery

We operate a well-baby nursery, so please make sure your child is well. For the protection of all the children in our care, we cannot accept a child who has been vomiting, has a cold, the flu,
a fever, rash, runny nose, persistent cough, diarrhea, or any other signs of illness. We request that you not put your child in the nursery while they are at risk of exposing other children, for 24 hours after having any of the above symptoms. Thank you for helping us keep our nursery a healthy place for all.

What to Bring

Please include the following in a small diaper bag:
• at least two disposable diapers
• wipes
• change of clothes
• a comfort item for your child
(pacifier, blanket, etc)
• a bottle or a spill-proof cup

Please clearly label ALL of your child’s belongings to ensure that these items are returned.

Snacks

Crackers and Cheerios are provided for babies who are able to sit up by themselves.
Toddlers (12-24 months) may also be fed animal crackers, goldfish, or graham crackers. We will serve fluids that you provide in a bottle or sippy cup, or we will provide water. If your child has a food allergy, please inform the nursery greeter when you sign in your child.

Nursery Cleanliness

• We disinfect all toys after use, in order to ensure that our nursery is clean and safe for your child.
• Nursery staff uses disposable gloves for diapering each child and hands are washed with anti-bacterial soap and warm water after each child has been changed.
• The nursery room and cribs are cleaned and disinfected after each use.

Cry Room

A cry room is located down the hall from the nursery. There are rocking chairs, a changing table, a one-way window into the sanctuary, and it has a sound feed from the sanctuary.
It provides nursing mothers a comfortable atmosphere to attend to your child’s needs while still participating in the service.
