About the tours:

Getty Villa - you won’t need hard hats for this tour but when we pull up to the Getty Villa entrance, think: archeological dig. The Getty Villa in Malibu is an educational center and museum dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. Roman-inspired architecture and lush gardens house 44,000 antiquities.

The Nethercutt Museum - a treasure house of beauty. One entire floor is dedicated to the world’s finest assemblages of mechanical musical instruments – music boxes of all sizes and shapes, and enormous orchestrations including the mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ. Over 250 exquisitely restored American and European automobiles dating from 1898 to 1997 are displayed elegantly in the Grand Salon, and we’ll also view a beautiful Louis XV dining room complete with crystal chandelier and a 160 year old grandfather clock.

Getting there is twice the fun!

We board the luxurious Silverado Stage Thursday morning and after a donut & coffee stop, we arrive at the Getty Villa in time for lunch. Choose from 2 cafes or bring your lunch to picnic on the grounds. After the tour we check into the Woodland Hills Holiday Inn Express. Dinner is on your own…and on Friday morning, breakfast is free!!! We arrive at the Nethercutt Museum in time for our tour, including a stroll through the Pullman Car of Lucky Baldwin. On the way home we stop for a late lunch or dinner and arrive at GBC at 7 pm.
