What's Next For Your Small Group?
We have come to the end of Radical Together, and a few groups have asked me for ideas on what to do next. I thought I would take a few moments today and gather a list of suggestions. If your group already has a study in mind, feel free to use it. However, if you are uncertain of what to do next, one of these might be just the thing.
- Do a "Sermon Based Small Group": Each week, Pastor Joe writes small group discussion questions for his own small group. While we don't publish these in the bulletin or on the web, Joe would be happy to email them to you each week. If you would like Joe to email you his discussion questions, let me know.
- Study a short book of the Bible, like Ruth or 1 John: If you are interested in a Bible study guide to help with one of these books, I would recommend Ruth & Esther: Women of Faith, Bravery, and Hope or 1, 2, 3 John & Jude (MacArthur Bible Studies)
- In January, study the book of Joshua: Pastor Joe will be leading us through the book of Joshua beginning in January. While we will not do an "all-church" small groups push, you may want to do a complimentary study on your own. If so, check out Joshua: The Power of God's Promises or Joshua in Lifechange series. If you can find it, take a peek at This Land is Your Land by Dr. Paul Toms.
- The Treasure Principle by Randy Alcorn. This short book on stewardship is excellent! I have four copies in my office that I would be happy to give away.
- The Bookends of the Christian Life by Jerry Bridges and Bob Bevington: Many groups at GBC have used and grown from this short book. (Free Study Guide Available)

- Video Series: Faith Lessons (we own many different studies in the faith lessons series)
- Study guide: Lifeguide's "Deepening Life Together" Series: We have many of these in our library, and the groups who have used them have given me good feedback.
- Visit our library for more ideas: We have a great library! In it there are lots of small group options from which to choose.
