COME AND BE A TUTOR!

Our church has the unique priviledge of TUTORING in the public elementary schools in our area. This program was begun about 8 years ago when one of the Principals allowed us on his campus to help the children with their studies. From that one school, we have expaned to 6 schools in the Lucia Mar School District.

This program is open to anyone who has a heart to help children with their studies. It does not require a teaching credential, matter of fact, if you can read this paragraph, you are qualified to TUTOR the children!!

The TUTOR has the choice of grade level, school campus and how much time you wish to give. Some TUTORS stay all day, others for 1 or 2 hours per week, and some go all five days to the campus. The schedule is worked out with the TUTOR and the teacher.

The schools in our area have lost a great deal of funding, and tutors are more needed than ever. Many of the children in our community live in one-parent families and a tutor has a unique priviledge of giving that child attention and love during the tutoring time. Each of our wonderful TUTORS serves in this way because of our LOVE FOR GOD and our desire to SERVE IN OUR COMMUNITY by helping the CHILDREN.
