Transportation Services Team

The Transportation Services Team meets at the discretion of the team leader and is comprised of volunteers, both men and women, who are willing to complete and maintain the requirements for driving our 2 buses (28 and 21 passenger) and 1 van (11 passenger). Periodic physical exams and random drug tests are required in addition to the driving tests. The duties of this team include, but are not limited to:
- Provide drivers for events such as Grace Alive trips or Student Ministry outings.
- Oversee the transportation fleet, currently two buses, one van, and one automobile, regarding maintenance, cleanliness, qualified drivers, record keeping
- Recommend replacement vehicles as needed
- Meet routinely to discuss safety, upcoming events, schedule drivers, vehicle records, checklists and maintenance.
- Constantly consider the validity of maintaining our bus fleet vs. chartering.
